Kate McRoberts, CEO and managing principal, selected as 2024 Women in Business Honoree by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Kate McRoberts, 2024 Women In Business honoree

As our resident chief servant leader, Kate McRoberts is leading the way for many of us—and was aptly recognized for this work as one of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 2024 Women in Business Honorees. Each year, the Business Journal recognizes the professional accomplishments and community involvement of women business leaders in the Twin Cities.

It comes as no surprise to anyone who knows Kate that she was selected for this award. As CEO, managing principal, and sole owner of Fathom, her thoughtful and intentional leadership over the past two decades is evident in her empathetic, collaborative, and energetic approach to engage those around her to drive meaningful, lasting change within our organization and community. She strives to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to the work we do—creating a culture that is human-centric and makes Fathom a great place to be while modeling an environment where everyone can belong and have an equitable opportunity to succeed.  The results speak for themselves as we celebrate our 25th anniversary this year.

“When I look back over this chapter of my career, what will give me the most pride and satisfaction? For me, it’s creating a thriving work culture that supports people in uncovering and honing their strengths and that celebrates uniqueness and difference. It’s about moving together as a team to grow our company and help our clients make the best, most human-centered decisions possible. And it’s about showing up for others and driving change in our Minnesota community.” —Kate McRoberts

Kate was recognized alongside 49 other women who are leading change and making a direct impact in our community and state. All of the Women in Business honorees are breaking down barriers, bringing their unique voices to the table, and inspiring the next generation of women leaders. Additionally, Kate is one of 14 owners/founders recognized who, through their organizations, are helping to create new opportunities that meet emerging and unmet needs in our community. Their businesses are creating jobs, providing support for educators, combating climate change, providing talent and services to wide array of sectors, and creating inclusive spaces to work, play, eat, and learn.

We are so proud of Kate and all she has accomplished. Congratulations to all of the women honored this year who are leading change and paving the way for all of us!
